2013 NFL Season Schedule Won’t be Announced on Tuesday April 16th

Coming news for all NFL betting fans: We’ll have to wait a few more days for the official 2013 NFL regular season calendar. This Monday morning; the NFL officially informed that the 2013 Regular Season calendar won’t be unveiled this Tuesday, April 16^th.  As announced by league representatives, the schedule hasn’t been finalized, and it’s not expected to be released in the coming days.

"The schedule is not finalized and no release date has been determined. I t will not be tomorrow but could be in the next week or two. We’re working to finalize it." NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said in a statement released on Monday.

Traditionally, the NFL releases the regular season schedule the week before the annual draft, but over the last couple of years, the schedule announcement has seen some minor changes. In 2012 the schedule was unveiled two days before the NFL draft. That was the first year the NFL moved to a Thursday night prime-time start for the draft.

At this point the reason behind this decision still unknown, but for many analysts and bettors the Ravens' opener may be playing a huge part in this decision. The defending Super Bowl champion was originally
scheduled to kick off the NFL regular-season with a Thursday night home game on September 5^th. But that same night the Baltimore Orioles are scheduled to play a home game against the Chicago White Sox, and since the Oriole Park shares its parking area with the M&T Bank Stadium, the Ravens will be forced to either reschedule the game or play as the visiting squad against a yet-to-be-determined team.

While the schedule rarely plays a serious role for any team during the annual Draft, it gives coaches and managers a perception of how they should build their practice sessions throughout the season and how to begin their preparation. Despite what happens in the near future, there are only two confirmed details surrounding the coming NFL season: the Baltimore Ravens kicks off the season on the road and the 2013-14 NFL season will get to an end on Sunday, February 2nd, 2012 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
